It was during my college years, when I felt that I was at a cross-roads. I was studying full-time, working part-time, and I suffered with the kind of migraines that would put me out of action for a whole day at a time. Not to mention that I was trying to balance all the other things a typical 20-something-year-old woman has to deal with. I knew I needed something else in my life. Something was missing.

It’s hard to explain exactly how I felt; but after one short visit to a massage therapist, my life changed radically. Fast forward; and I’m now having at least one massage a month by a qualified massage therapist. The results are such that I preach the good word about the positive effects of massage on my life; and how we can help others. Here are the top five ways massage therapy changed my life. It can change your life too.

1) Massage has all-but cured my migraines. I still have the occasional migraine. For those who suffer from this debilitating condition, this will be a dominant and negative part of their lives. In all honesty, I can affirm that my migraines have become reduced to as few as one a month. In the past, I would have had at least one a week. Having relaxing massage has provided, for me, a great result.
2) Another huge positive is that I no longer have use any prescription medications. There are no side effects or chemicals to make allowance for in massage therapy. This natural and relaxing solution has helped me massage the stress out of my life.
3) Massage is well known to reduce the effect of stress. I have tested this for myself and would therefore recommend it to anyone feeling stressed.  Make a trip to the nearest spa; and book a relaxation session. Stress does not simply go away − it needs to be managed. I was not managing my own stress well. It was causing me to lose sleep.
4) Many everyday things were out of my control. Even skin conditions broke out. All of these problems are now a distant memory. Massage introduced me to a new and healthier way of life. Massage really opened my eyes to a whole new world of alternative medicines and treatments. I started looking at some of the other elements that are used, such as essential oils. I have searched for deeper and more meaningful reasons for all my various stress-related conditions. A focus on massage therapy does not only apply health benefits to the individual − there are a host of mental benefits too. Being able to focus better means that you can be more productive in your work life. Acute focusing sharpens your mind, helping your memory and giving you that ‘pep in your step’ that you see in some people, and so want for yourself. Massage has improved my confidence. This is something I really believe is worth mentioning.
5) Confidence goes hand in hand with many other benefits, as mentioned above. Massage is the single reason for my overall health improvement.

Massage therapy has made a significant and positive impact on my life. I can’t speak highly enough of it. Massage therapy can do wonders − take my word for it.  Book yourself a therapy session without delay, and discover this for yourself.

Finding the time to spend on yourself can seem unthinkable for both women and men. Nevertheless, everyone warrants some time to spoil him- or herself, by being indulged. Spas are the finest way to escape from it all, what is more, reviving your body.  More and more men are accepting the importance of feeling and looking good. Increasingly, men see spas less as a pampering tool, and more as a health requirement.  Although we are so often quick to accept a spa day as women’s activity, this is not at all the case. Menfolk have utilised spas for many years, even for centuries, what is more, for the same reasons as women − to feel and look great.

Menfolk have Continuously Visited Spas

Both women and men have been going to spas for ages —the concept is unquestionably nothing novel. Spa treatments are one of the oldest practices known to mankind. From the ancient Romans to the Byzantines, humankind has cherished spas for their quality of affording well-being to regular users.

The concept that spas are only for women is a relativity contemporary idea. This idea is beginning to change, with menfolk of different ages booking spa treatments, and placing importance on their appearance.

What Spa Treatments are there for Men?

The spa treatments for men are very similar to those offered to women. The treatments are, however, planned with various types of men in mind. The treatments are intended to pamper you from head to toe. From manicures to facials to a full body massage with hot stones, spas are there to bring you relaxation and comfort, and to help you to feel and look your best. Naturally, the spa treatments you select are completely up to you.

Some Popular Treatments for Men

For those working long hours, and looking a bit tired, a facial is guaranteed to re-energise your skin. Not only will the facial help you to relax, it will hydrate your skin, and help to amplify cell regeneration. The result will be a fresher and younger-feeling you.  Another popular treatment is both manicures and pedicures for men. No businessman can afford to sport dirty, broken, or bitten fingernails. Bad grooming will suggest that you are not scrupulous, which could translate to your business dealings. Impressions count with clients. It is a simple matter to book a manicure. This can easily be fitted in even by the busiest of executive.

Don’t forget about your feet. Not only can a pedicure enhance your appearance, it can be extremely relaxing. The therapist will buff your nails, and exfoliate dead skin from your feet, while giving you a professional massage that will assist with blood circulation. Trust us, once you have had one pedicure, you will come back for more – it’s one of the most relaxing massage therapies available.

When is the Best Time for Men to Visit the Spa?

The simple answer is – it depends on the type of treatment you are seeking. A package booking will mean a full day at the spa, for you to benefit by the spa package. A half-day package is also available, as is even a night-spa package. However, if you seek a single treatment, it is essential to pre-book. You will not then have to wait − when you walk in, all will be prepared for you.

Therefore, Men, why are You Delaying?

As you are now aware of what to expect from your spa visit, why don’t you book your spa experience? We offer an array of spa treatments and packages just for you. Escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and retreat to one of our spas. Look good − feel even better.

It’s tough being home-bound. The onslaught of COVID-19 has all of us concerned about the developments, locally and globally, more so, what will happen in the near future. As for those working remotely from home, your set-up might not be as ergonomically suitable as your set-up at the office. You are not following your normal routine, and for some, your gym will have closed for the time being. What can you do to maintain your well-being during this challenging time?

Adapt to a New Rhythm

Our day-to-day habits may seem a bit unlike our normal habits, but that doesn’t imply that we should let go of our daily structure. There are indeed some benefits to value: not having to travel to work, therefore allowing you some extra shut-eye before having to get up. This means that you can start the day a bit more relaxed and feel more refreshed. Still − a warning − don’t let this benefit disrupt your internal clock too much. Stay within your reasonable hours of retiring to bed and waking up the next morning. Take any extra time to prepare a healthy breakfast or a delicious smoothie. You could also take a few minutes to break out your yoga mat and stretch, in preparation for the day.

Remain Active

Your gym might have closed, and you aren’t allowed to leave home, but there is a wealth of free online resources you could explore, from yoga to other more vigorous exercises you can do from your living room. The point is that physical activity is important, especially if you are sitting in front of your computer for long hours. Stand up and stretch. Or lie on the floor and push your shoulders back towards the floor just to prevent a hunched posture – but also, allowing you to centre yourself.

Keep in Touch – Telephonically

Switch the television off for a bit and reach out to family and friends, just giving them a call. As much as you might be feeling a bit alone and fearful about what is going on, so too, they might feel this way. They are very likely to appreciate your call as much as you do the calls of others to you.

Find a Distraction to Lessen the Tension

Don’t forget about little pleasures, such as a long soak in the tub with bubble bath, some relaxing music, that book you have always wanted to read, but have never had the time to get to, or streaming a series. Whatever you select to do, remain productive and enjoy every minute.

Eat Healthily

Being cooped up could lead you to graze or indulge in unhealthy snacks. Instead, opt for nutritious foods, and remember to drink enough water to stay hydrated. If you keep snacking on unhealthy foods, you will become mentally tired, and your chances of progressing into depression will increase. Rather stick to a healthy diet, and treat yourself to the occasional snack. You will feel so much better, being better able to deal with the stress of isolation.

Missing your massage treatments?

Our spas might be closed, but don’t worry − as soon as the lockdown restrictions are lifted, we will be waiting to allow you to enjoy a pamper again. While you wait, make sure that you stretch regularly. Don’t sit for too long − rather get up now and then. If you have bought any of our body and bath products, you should use these now. Our products were designed to offer you a spa feeling at home. Otherwise, you can start to call us for future bookings. More of all, remember − we are in this together, and soon we’ll be out of this together!
